Baxter’s reputation is built on the quality of its products. The Quality function is responsible for building the systems and processes to protect that reputation, ensuring that safe and effective biologics, medical devices and pharmaceuticals reach patients and clinicians worldwide.
Choosing a career in quality means being a part of Baxter’s most valued and vital tradition – our commitment to best-in-class safety and our more than 75-year heritage of continuous improvement and innovation.
Baxter’s quality systems apply across the product life cycle, including design, development, manufacturing, sterilization, labeling, packaging, handling, distribution and promotion. Teams within the function act as champions of product quality and quality systems throughout Baxter.
Quality teams work in nearly every corner of the world, helping to design, develop, manufacture and distribute the products that save and sustain the lives of people with hemophilia, immune disorders, cancer, infectious diseases, kidney disease, trauma and other chronic and acute medical conditions. Members of the Quality function work in each of Baxter’s five global regions, its corporate headquarters, and in the more than 50 Baxter manufacturing plants in 26 countries worldwide.
Quality delivers a competitive advantage and ensures the company efficiently meets regulatory requirements and provides products and services that lead to customer preference, retention and loyalty.
Quality professionals at Baxter can make a meaningful difference for patients around the world while also expanding their skills in continuous improvement, regulatory and compliance management, quality systems knowledge and application, risk management, and operations management.
Quality professionals have the opportunity to gain experience working with different products and services within Baxter's diversified portfolio, working across a variety of functional areas, advancing their knowledge in specialty areas such as Bioscience, Medication Delivery and Renal, or growing a career with broad product responsibility within a specific region of the world.
Quality also has a rotational leadership development program in place to prepare select individuals for global leadership roles.
Baxter’s Quality Leadership Development Program (QLDP) is a rotational program that provides experiences across Baxter’s many business portfolios, including medical devices and solutions, biologics and pharmaceuticals. In addition to rotating through various businesses at Baxter, the QLDP provides exposure to various Quality functional areas and regional operations with the intent of developing and preparing Quality professionals to be future leaders at Baxter.
