At Baxter, the Global Human Resources (HR) function plays an important role in driving business results across the company. HR is a strategic business partner with a focus on accelerating business results through world-class talent management. Our goal is to help the organization meet its human resource needs and the needs of Baxter employees to ensure the company is a rewarding place to work and develop.
The Role of HR Professionals
Baxter’s HR professionals partner with colleagues in every function and area in the company. HR professionals fulfill roles as employee advocates, strategic business partners, change agents and process experts across a variety of areas within HR. As such, senior management depends on their HR partners to make critical business decisions.
A Range of Opportunities
Baxter provides HR professionals with opportunities in talent acquisition/staffing, benefits, compensation, talent management, organizational effectiveness/organizational development, HR operations, as well as HR generalist positions.
The function’s activities provide insight into the whole business, applying competencies in human capital planning, change and project leadership, coaching and consulting, organization development, and process and technology management.
HR Centers of Excellence
- Talent Management – This team is responsible for forecasting talent needs and effectively hiring and moving talent; developing a high-performing workforce; developing top leadership and senior talent; and improving organizational effectiveness.
- Total Compensation and HR Operations - This team is accountable for two areas:
- The total compensation group designs and manages worldwide market competitive compensation, benefits and international assignment programs. This group is composed of compensation professionals who support each of Baxter's businesses, functions and regions as well as the specialty areas of worldwide sales and cash incentives, employee benefits, executive compensation and international assignments.
- The HR operations group is accountable for global HR policies, program administration, data management and transaction processes. This group is composed of technology, process and project management professionals focused on leveraging and improving the organization's HR processes to ensure organizational efficiency, compliance and cost effectiveness.
- Global Inclusion – This team is focused on creating an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce.
A Truly Global Function
The HR function is truly global with career opportunities in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The function is structured to support our three businesses: Medication Delivery, Renal and BioScience. Dedicated HR professionals are aligned with their strategic business partners around the world.
Qualifications:
Baxter looks for talented human resource professionals who exhibit the Shared Values and Personal Attributes of the Baxter Leadership Expectations, and have:
- Experience as an HR generalist and expertise in benefits, compensation, talent acquisition/staffing, talent management, organizational effectiveness/development or HR operations;
- Strong communication and influencing skills and experience in facilitating discussions with internal business partners and future employees; and
- Experience collaborating within a matrix organization; and
- A results-oriented mindset.
